Starscream, Sideways (a new character), and Megatron are among the Decepticons.
On the Autobot side, playable characters include Optimus Prime, Iron Hide, Jetfire, and Bumblebee. The plot is told through cutscenes, allowing the player to switch between characters easily. The game is a linear third-person shooter in which the player controls many of the movie’s main characters, switching between Autobot and Decepticon factions. They are looking for a mysterious object from space that will grant them power balance. Since the end of the first film, Decepticons have started reappearing all over the world. Set a few years after Megatron’s defeat in the first game/movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reveals that the threat posed by the Decepticons is far from over.
